Celebrating poetry

Celebrating poetry

Posted By Sunny Lockwood

April is National Poetry Month.

So I’m going to post one of my favorite springtime poems here in hopes that it will inspire you to read some poetry this month, and maybe write some poetry this month.

And if you want to do something really fun, write some poetry and then read it aloud to friends and family, so everyone can enjoy your new creation.

This poem, which I believe I posted last year in April, is by Piet Hein.

It’s entitled: The Miracle of Spring

We glibly talk

Of nature’s laws

But do things have

A natural cause?

Black earth turned into

Yellow crocus

Is undiluted

Hocus-pocus.
