“Sunny Lockwood has a gift for writing stories that touch our hearts, telling of people whose courage and creativity renew our hopes and affirm the power of possibility.” Diane Dreher, author of Your Personal Renaissance and The Tao of Peace.
I’ll answer the existential question ‘Who Am I?’ by quoting Emily Dickinson:
|
I’m nobody! Who are you?
Are you a nobody, too?
Then there’s a pair of us – don’t tell!
They’d banish us, you know.
How dreary to be somebody!
How public, like a frog
To tell your name the livelong day
To an admiring bog!

A bit more specifically, I’m a writer whose byline has appeared in publications as diverse as Good Housekeeping, MS, and the Chronicle of Higher Education. I’m a follower of Jesus, a wife, a front edge Baby Boomer and a practicing human being.
Sweetheart Al describes me as:
· insatiably curious
· often effervescent
· opinionated
· with a sunny personality
As you read my work, you can decide for yourself who I am.
In case you’re wondering about my kindergarten photo (taken in Mattawan, Michigan, in 1952)…it’s here because it’s me at my innocent, enthusiastic best. I hope you see in it the kind of energy and openness I want here at my website.
